Aloha...

Have a close encounter with our 120 ft. waterfall or enjoy over two miles of walking trails that weave along the powerful Waiau River.

Built specifically as an Inn / bed and breakfast, Kulaniapia comprises over 22 lush acres overlooking all of “Hilo Town”, the ocean, and our namesake waterfall.

The ultimate Hawaiian vacation for a limited few, Kulaniapia is in the midst of a 2000 acres Macadamia Nut orchard. We are definitely in the country, yet only 15 minutes from downtown Hilo and some of the best restaurants on the Big Island. The only sounds you hear at Kulaniapia is the pleasant sound of falling water....and your own thoughts.

Need to unwind and relax? Come to where Aloha is spoken. Discover the Big Island We serve a full traditional breakfast of eggs, pastry, fresh island fruits, bagels and breads, homemade jams and jellies, juice, and plenty of our own blend of Kona Koffee
