Cattle Country, and lush tropical
rainforest, stormy sea cliffs, and cool mountain breezes, all
await you in Waimea and Kohala. Waimea, is home to the
largest privately owned cattle ranch in the US and the scenic vistas of Kohala's rugged coastline are second to none. Historic Heiau and Petroglyphs adorn the black lava flows, next to pristine white sand beaches.

ohala is the old part of the Island of Hawaii,
the site of the original statue of King Kamehameha (Hawi,
on the northern tip of the Big Island). A place where time
has stopped for many years, as evidenced by picturesque
Waimea Town, (also known as Kamuela). There you will find
Parker Ranch, the largest, privately owned cattle ranch
in the US. In North Kohala, stop to visit Windy Upolu Point,
for beautiful views, paddle outrigger canoes at Kawaihae
Harbor, visit some historical digs along the sunny Kohala
Coast (known as the "gold coast" locally), visit the islands
largest heiau, picnic and swim at beautiful Hapuna Beach
Park, one of the finest beaches in the world, (in Conde
Nast's 'Top Ten').
