Short Description:

The Log Cabin is a secluded retreat which offers deluxe accommodations in scenic Ahualoa on the Big Island of Hawaii. This authentic lodge style house, situated on five acres and nestled amidst a lush forest backdrop, is unique to the area. Our bed & breakfast is devoted entirely to the comfort and privacy of our guests with five comfortable and well appointed rooms.

Gracefully greeted, your first step into our log house will promise to erase the stress of daily life. The Log Cabin is designed for an adult clientele seeking a quiet atmosphere. So whether your group plans include business or pleasure, allow us to facilitate your needs.

Imagine sleeping to the sound of the wind rustling through the trees, then waking to the aroma of a sumptuous island continental breakfast. (Catered dinners can be arranged upon request.) You can spend the day sight seeing or just taking leisurely walks through our garden and forest paths.

The Log Cabin also features a jet spa/whirlpool in a cozy gazebo surrounded by our lush tropical garden and forest perfect for star gazing at night or just relaxing anytime.

This charming log lodge is surrounded by the pastoral beauty of Ahualoa. Only minutes from Waimea and Honoka'a, the central yet secluded location offers the perfect blend of country and convenience. Near by activities include hiking, horseback riding, golf and cycling. The splendor of Waipio Valley is as close as the shops and reataurants of Waimea.

Directions:

From Hilo: Take Hwy. 19 to Honoka'a. Turn left at Tex Drive Inn, then right on Mamalahoa Hwy. Go 3 miles to THE LOG CABIN on the left.

From Kona: Take Hwy 190 or 19 to Waimea, then Hwy. 19 towards Honoka'a (east). Go 11.4 miles from the stop light in Waimea and turn right at the sign for Ahualoa. At the stop sign turn right and go 1.2 miles to THE LOG CABIN on the left.

Activities:

  • Drive a scenic 45-60 minutes to either Hilo or Kona.
  • Expolore beautiful Waipio Valley, famous for its' black sand beaches, cascading waterfalls, and hiking trails ( You can experience this by shuttle or horseback)
  • Visit historic Waimea, rich in folklore, heritage, and history. Experience its shops and gourmet restaurants, as well as the headquarters of the 250,000 acre Parker Ranch.
  • Golf in an authentic Scottish links style course featuring bent grass greens, in Waimea, away from the crowded resorts
  • Volcano National Park is a mere 90 minute drive where you can, if lucky, see Madame Pele in all her splendor of creation. Should she be resting, just the feel of walking on freshly created earth will be an experience you will not soon forget.
  • Should you prefer a panoramic view of either Volcano or valleys helicopter tours are available.
  • Antique lovers are just minutes away from one of the quaintest towns on our island. Honokaa town offers specialty shops and restaurants with a flavor of the old sugar plantation days.
  • Bird watchers never leave our island disappointed, whether a casual admirer or a serious observer.
