Kauai Island is the most northerly
of the larger islands in the Hawaiian chain. It's central mountain is the
wettest spot in the world, Mt.Wai'ale'ale El 5,080 ft.
The topography of the Island is the most like Tahiti in the island chain
with a mini Grand Canyon, Waimea Canyon, at the south-west end of the island.
Nice beaches, good surf but in some places the water is not too clear
due to the amount of silt from the rainfall. The Fern Grotto is a
beautiful experience for weddings on a dry day.
